I got my order! YAY YAY YAY! Can't wait to try it all out! Well, I DID try
the lip balm already and it feel soooooo good! Mine I made is kind of
hard.  :0( Does the trick but yours feels so much better and goes on a lot
easier! LOVE IT!
Also, I used the coal today as eyeliner and it was great! It went on very easily and has stayed on all day! No smudges!!! AWESOME!
And the Bergamot Mineral Mist made my face feel so good! It dried quickly and didn't leave a heavy or sticky feeling. Perfect!
I feel like a walking Painted Laydies commercial, hahahahaha. This feels so good, oh I love that! But it's all true, I promise you. I am loving everything I have! Girlie, you're awesome!

Thanks,
Crystal

Hi Jenny-
Got my makeup and played with the samples right away.
I LOVE the Green Tea - it works really well on me, both wet and dry.
The Lollipop Guild didn't quite work - I will pass it on to my
daughter-in-law (named Jennifer) who is a light-skinned blonde.
Werewolf  is a BIG hit. I'm using it as a blend on my lower jaw --
unfortunately time and gravity are giving me some little 'jowls' (for
lack of a more sophisticated word). Werewolf shades that part of my
jaw and neck, and camouflages everything very nicely.
Next order I will want some of that, plus Ruby Slippers and Durga
which go GREAT on my lips.
I think I will also get a sample of 'Coal' and fool around with
diffusing it so I can do my eyebrows.

Loving your products!! Holiday Blessings,
Candy T.

I have used other mineral makeup before including Bare minerals and WAHM. Her makeup has a much better color and texture that surpasses them ALL!! The powder is super soft and silky not gritty like others I have tried. I promise you won't be sorry you tried Jenns makeup. Even her color samples which are awesomly cheap last a LOOOONG time!!! I will be back super soon!!

Hi, Jenn,
I just got the package.
The minerals are so gorgeous - all of them!  The pictures on the website do
not nearly reflect the beauty of the colors in person. Arrived very quickly
too. Thanks for the brush.  I had one question: about diffusion and
illusionist powders: when and how do you use one versus another. And can you
combine them? Educate me. Thanks again.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth

Illusionist is amazing. It makes minor imperfections invisible, and gives my skin a beautiful glow. At nearly 41 - I am often mistaken for my mid-20's! Any product that can do THAT is my best friend!

This product is amazing! I used it today for the first time as eyeliner. I used the foil method and applied it like I do my regular liner. It has stayed on all day and not one smudge! I love it!

I absolutely love Diffusion! I am 39 years old, and am finding my sunning days are catching up with me. But diffusion really helps to take my focus off my laugh lines and gives my face such a wonderful soft focus finish!! This product delivers, just like Jenn does.

I'm a Diffusion junkie! I sometimes use it even if I'm not wearing any other makeup on some days - it evens out my skin tone and gives a matte finish to my face. As my hormones change, my skin is becoming a bit oily, and Diffusion fixes that right up!

The picture simply doesn't do this amazing color justice. Today I tried it as eyeliner, using a wet brush and I was just thrilled - I have dark eyes, and this color just popped! I even got compliments on it from friends - and it lasted all day!

I am a Tribal Fusion Belly Dancer, and I SWEAT when I perform.
I used Coal to paint my lids and as a liner and "accent" dots for the evening last night. My makeup was done at 5pm, when I got home from dancing for almost 5 hours it looked the SAME as when I left the house. no creases, no smudging, NOTHING! It didnt even irritate my contacts, and I lined my inner lid on the bottom. I had no eye irritation, where with other types, I do!
Thankyou for this amazing product!

Gettin' Painted, Laydie!

I recently had the wonderful opportunity to review some mineral make-up from my friend Jenn over at Painted Laydies Mineral Make-Up as well as the most adorable diaper bag I've ever seen from her selection at Mama Bags.

I have tried mineral make-up before from some other places and quite honestly, didn't like it. It felt heavy & stiff on my face. But when I used Jenn's foundation, it felt light and airy and covered perfectly! My husband even commented that he liked it and it looks really good!

Jenn send me two shades of the foundation and several samples of eye color and lip color.

I sort of had a three bears moment with the foundation. The light shade was a smidge too light but still looked great and the medium was a smidge too dark. Soooooo, unlike with cream make-ups, I mixed them! I have a dispenser brush and I went mainly with the light foundation and added a touch of the medium and ended up with the perfect shade for my complexion! YAY!!!!

Now, I have the oddest eye color. You can't call them blue, but their not green or hazel either. They are dark blue on the outside edges and lighten to a green with golden brown around the pupils. And depending on my mood or if I'm sick, they change between dark blue and light green. FREAKY! hahaha. So I never really know what colors of shadow to wear and usually stick with wines and plums that will blend with my blush.

WELL! Miss Jenn sent me this sample of a golden color and WOW! That stuff is awesome! It really brought each color out in my eyes. I couldn't believe it! And it didn't feel weighted on my eye lids either. It applied very easily and stayed on all day. I used the other colors she sent me as well to blend and highlight my eyes and I have to tell you, I was thrilled with the results!

I have always had trouble wearing certain brands of make-up. I break out horribly if I use any really high-end (from the mall) brands of cosmetics. But I didn't not break out AT ALL with the Painted Laydies! I have been testing it for a week now and my skin looks and feel great!

Product Review: Natural Makeup - Foundation by Kara Kelso

Jennetta Brokman, owner of Painted Laydies, had my foundation shipped to me very quickly. Because of the great details and clear pictures on the site, I was able to pick out my exact color on the site. Normally I wear CoverGirl Classic Ivory, and the Light #2 was a perfect match-up.

There were two pamphlets with information about the product were included. One pamphlet was an outline of the good this product does, and the bad a chemical-based make up can do. Very informative! The second pamphlet explained how to use each product Painted Ladies carries, including foundation, eyeshadow, eyeliner, lip color, and blush. It also explained the many uses of several of their products.

After the foundation was carefully opened, the first thing I noticed was how full the small container was. Immediately I knew how well worth it this was, and how far they go to please a customer, I didn't feel "cheated" at all, which very rare with most products on the market!

The instruction in the pamphlet were very clear, and the foundation extremely easy to put on. It was "loose" powder rather than compacted, so this also made it very easy to use. I didn't have to break anything up, or use multiple layers. I found out quickly a little goes a long way, and you don't have to try at all to pick up any on the brush.

I'm certainly impressed. Not only is this better for my skin since it's natural, but it looks better when worn! I don't have to use anything else with it. I'm use to liquid foundation and powder on top, but not with my "new" foundation. It works as both without looking "caked on". Very beautiful! I will never use anything else again, and my "old" makeup is being tossed out.

Painted Laydies doesn't try to hide their natural ingredients - everything used can be seen right on their home page. In addition to foundation, you can also find blush, eyeliner, lip liner, and more. You can visit their site at:
